Let's close the pool

Posted in: San Michelle
The single most common subject of conversations I have with residents is the pool. I receive more complaints about noise, trash, vandalism and kids alone at the pool.

THe new furniture we bought is being demolished. One chair has a burn spot in the webbing where someone held a cigarette lighter to it for the purpose of destroying it. Another has the webbing cut or torn from misuse.

Since we can't seem to control the half dozen or so kids that tear things up and leave a mess, maybe the smart thing to do is close the pool and deprive everyone else the priveledge.

Give me some thoughts.

Yes, close it and save everyone a bunch of money and grief.

Sounds like overreaction. I've enjoyed our pool for hte 11 years I've lived here. I don;t think it's a good idea to deprive careful users because of the actions of a few careless users. Vandalism is a crime and should be reported if the culprits are known.

As far as I am concerned you could close it down.  We never use it.  But would that not lower the value of our homes?  There alot of other things that need to be taken care of.

Too many owner and renters have large pickup trucks and they some times park in the front of the units.   There too much parking in the front.  Don't they have parking in the back.

I love the grass  but how much is that costing us.  $209 is one of the largest HOA fees I have seen.
