K. Di Passero's China Trip Photo Notes

Hello Everyone,
Well, after weeks of preparation, I've finally completed the China 2002 Picture Web-site. The following is the URL, but heed the precautions listed beneath:

http://www.lucy-furdesigns.com/china.html
(see hotlink below)

1) This site is best viewed with a screen resolution of 800x600. To reset, or check your current screen settings, go to "Start" menu, then "Control Panel", then "Display", then "Settings" - the tab in the lower left of this box is where to adjust your screen resolution.

2) This site is best viewed with DSL or T1 to T3 connections. 56k and 28k are possible, but you'll have to have some time on your hands. I recommend that the later group to find a nice speedy T1 line at school.

3) Even with a fast connection, there is a load time of about fifteen to thirty seconds on each page. Once all of the pages have been loaded, the images will be kept in a temp folder on your hard drive, so every subsequent viewing will load really quick.

4) Even though it seems as though everything has loaded, the roll-over pictures take some extra time. Don't let a fragmented picture deter you from looking through the site - they will load eventually.

HOW TO:

The way I've set up my site, is that the links to each of the subject pages (for example the "People" page), are positioned across the top of the page. As you drag your mouse over these links, tiny thumb-nails of the pictures available on that page appear in the boxes to either side. Once you've clicked on the link, and get to a page with the thumb-nails (index pictures) you're interested in, wait for the images to load (thirty second or so on DSL) and then position your mouse over the thumb-nails to see the enlarged picture.

NOTE:

There is still no direct link from the Lucy-Fur Designs home page to the China 2002 page - that's still in the works - maybe in another couple years ; ) (for those of you who know, I've been working on that site for over three years, and there's still only one page to it- Oy Veh!!).

Hope all is well with everyone, and please enjoy my pictures!! - Remember, I'm a Geophysics major - not an English major - so cut me some slack on the grammar and the non-sequitor partial sentences.

Ciao for now
