Prevent Violence! Chicago is a coalition of public and private organizations throughout the city working to expand and improve violence prevention programs offered to Chicago families. Each organization is represented on one of five implementation teams that unite under the goal of developing strategies to execute recommendations of the Chicago Violence Prevention Strategic Plan. Action teams focus on expanding violence prevention strategies through: Faith Communities, Media, Youth Development Services and Schools, Parent Education and Family Support Services, and Chicago Safe Start.
