Dog pee kills grass

Posted in: Bellemeade - Bellemeade

Having read all of these comments, I find myself agreeing with most even though some are conflicting.  I do believe that a person's yard is private, but there is an easement which belongs to the city and seems to be fair game for anything - trash from passing cars, cigarette butts, etc.; so I am a little confused how a dog's urine can be much of a problem on this easement as long as said dog doesn't go into the yard itself.

I was thinking of getting a dog as mine died a few years ago and I still miss him, but reading these comments has made me reevaluate my decision.  I would hate to be viewed as breaking some law when walking my dog.  BTW, nobody has yet addressed the cat problem and believe me when I say that unrestrained cats urinate anyplace they want and leave absolutely horrible odors along the way.  There are now 2 new cats (both gray, one with a collar) wandering around my yard.  While this irritates me a lot, I love cats and just wish that the owners would keep them in the house.

You are MORE than a little confused.  I hope you don't go around the rest of your life believing that an easement belongs to anybody other than the property owner.

According to your inaccurate definition of easement, I would be free to post political campaign signs in the easement in the front of your house even if they were supporting a candidate that you despised.  Hummmm...  very interesting.

And, you have some kind of right to be irritated by stray cats but Mr. M does not have a right to be irritated by people who let their dogs pee and crap in his yard?? LMAOROTF

Hypocrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  SMDH

Oh ye of apparent little common courtesy ...

I am getting very, very tired of all of these inane, ridiculous, asinine comments generated from a simple, legal, respectful, polite REQUEST that I made and I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You want to disagree with me about what is or what is not MY YARD EASEMENT AND ALL, then COME TALK TO ME rather than posting your silly, immature, bickering comments on here.  Bubba, just as Kitty said, you really should have looked up easement before you came up with your comment about the city owning part of a person's private property. An easement is simply a right to use part of the property granted BY THE PROPERTY OWNER to a utility company, a landlocked neighbor, or other sick person, persons, or company on A NEED BASIS.  There are two types of easements: gross easements and apperurtenant easements, neither of them give you the right to come onto my property with MY APPROVAL.  Normally, people in this little city are more than welcome to visit us, but you are CERTAINLY WELCOME TO LEAVE DOG POOP OR DOG PEE IN OR ON MY YARD regardless of whether or not YOU think it is of no harm.  I GET TO DECIDE THAT BECAUSE IT IS MY PROPERTY- NOT YOURS>

BOTTOM LINE:  Come talk to me before you put your other foot in your mouth;  I am SURE we can come a VERY CLEAR UNDERSTANDING!!!  And IF YOU CHOSE TO AVOID MEETING ME,  DO NOT LET YOUR DOG, THE NEIGHBORS DOG, YOUR NEPHEWS DOG, ANY RELATIVE'S DOG, THE DOG YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT YET, THE STRAY DOG YOU FEEL SORRY FOR, THE IMAGINARY DOG, THE HOT DOG, ANY DOG URINATE< PEE<WHIZ<WET<PASS WATER OR DEFICATE<CRAP<DUMP<S**T<POOP<EMPTY HISOR HER BOWELS<OR EVEN WALK ON MY YARD (INCLUDING THE EASEMENT) AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE ATTITUDE THAT YOU DISPLAYED IN YOUR POST>

You know who I am; bring your asinine comments to my face.

And to those of you who have been decent and respectful in honoring my request, thank you.  You are welcome to come talk to me tany time (almost), but under MUCH BETTER conditions.  I really hated to get bent out of shape like that, but enough is enough and it is too much to see how the IRRESPONSIBLE dog owners make the responsible ones look bad, and to hear people argue using totally inaccurate remarks that are so far off base that they make the writer look even worse.  It is always good to do at least a little research beforehand - kinda prevents foot in the mouth disease..

Actually you are NOT welcome to leave the dog poop or pee in or on my yard.  I walk thorugh a pile of it Satyruday mowing the yard.  Wonder who that GOOD NEIGHBOR was?

I can't believe that my request drew so much criticism - kinda tells me who folks are (and are not).
