We need just the facts maam.
First the issue with the Ohio Department of Education. They are at least two years behind the curve and by the time you get that data it is obsolete. The fact is our schools as fast as it is growing we are planning on old data. Someone posted information about the school facilities committee and they were using an outside source for their growth data. I suspect they are getting their data from the same public sources as everyone else.
Many of these public sources (US Census and MORPC) on growth vary a great deal and their needs to be a more home town data base and that would exist in the schools data bases. The schools and their supporters have made claims and plans based at one time of counting wings sets in back yards. Come on folks that schools should know every home in this district and just how many kids are attending the PLED schools from each home, each sub-division and from what government sub-division. Yet I have asked people and I have asked for information and the schools have flat told me that data doesn't exist.
We are not talking about student's names or their grades or anything that would identify the family or the personal information of that family.
Just how many kids are attending these individual schools? What is the pupil to teacher ratio for each school. What is the Total number of teachers at each school and what is the gross salary for the staff at each school. II am sure the public has enough math skills to figure out the rest.
Clearly the ODE has made their site unreadable and confusing so that they can continue make unreasonable demand from the voters and taxpayers.
It does not do any of us any good to just publish information about only one school in our district. I know we are all not smart enough to figure out where all of the resources in the district are going.
