Hmmmm. $368,000 to be able to hold a district meet once, maybe twice before the track needs to be replaced. Divided by the 368 people that will attend and the PLSD taxpayer is footing the bill at $1,000 per person to host an event less than 1% of the Pickerington population will even read about much less care about.
Sorry, but this taxpayer is fed up with football stadiums that a small college would kill for, basketball gyms that are filled for only a game or two and sit 80% for most games and baseball fields equal to the Clippers.
North or Central , they are overkill and if the boosters want such facilities then the boosters should raise the funds and maintain them. Let's take the taxpayers out of the loop. (And pluuueeeasse, forget about the 'athletics are an important part of education' mantra. Not on my dime.)
