8th lane won't go away as well
I see in both This Week and the Times Sun the 8th lane issue won't go away either. According to This Week the additional lane is costing $368,000 since they appear to be using it as a lever to throw a few more upgrades in the package.
At what point will this board realize the taxpayers have taken their checkbook away?

No 8th lane
No 8th track lane. The Board voted it down 3-2 today. Could not justify the costs of extending the additional width, which would mean moving and/or replacing the visitors stands, which are expected to last an additional 10-15 years, at this point. Since the track is expected to last 10 years, 3 of the board members so no point in getting new stands now and having to do further work again on them in 10 or so years when the track may need replacing. Their thought was to do both, if desired, at that time. I do not know how the proposed 8th lane would have affected the home stands that are being replaced and moved back with the current expansion.

I got mine, the heck with you.
Let me see...
Millions spent for the GRAND ATHELTIC COMPLEX at the Taj Mahal.
Gee, we can't seem to find $368,000 for the Central complex so they could have at least ONE regulation track.
Note: THE TAJ HAS TWO REGULATION TRACKS.
YES.... Someone PLEASE tell us how the vote went at the Friday morning meeting. I couldn't attend because I had to go to work.
If the board was trying to bolster the divide within the community, they did it.
Vote for another levy or bond issue??? NOT this Central District resident. I'm tired of paying for steak and geting BOLOGNA.
By Outraged...!!!!!
