Keep yer politics out of it!
Instead of just congratulating a kid and his parents for an extremely impressive job on his part, you had to go and inject your rant into somewhere it didn't need to be.
I do not know how the officers in the academic boosters are chosen. I presume that the meetings are open to any parent of both schools, and, in order to be an officer, you have to attend meetings and put your name in for a spot when it becomes time to elect officers. I presume that a simple majority vote for each spot determines the winner.
That means, either more North parents attend/run for election than Central parents do, or the North parents are discriminating against Central parents by actively refusing to support Central parents. I urge you to go to these meetings, be a spy and say your kid goes to North, and see if you get all kinds of catty remarks etc. toward Central kids and parents. If that is the case, go the BOE and tell them what's going on, with documentation, and tell them to straighten it out, maybe force the boosters to have equal numbers on their board. Go to the papers and spill the beans. If you are merely stating your biases, stop it, get to work, get involved, and become a positive member of this community.
