What are the Issues?

Posted in: PATA
It appears that TWO MORE MONTHS is a typical John Kerry voter and plans to vote for him. I read a poll in the last few days where 87% of those that claim they will vote for John Kerry actual are voting against George W. Bush. The media has been successful in painting the President as a war monger and fighting an unnecessary war. The Democratic Party and its leaders have gone so far as to call George W. Bush a lair.

First as a George W. Bush supporter, I find the two military records that were recorded over 30 years ago as a non issue. I don?’t believe that any of us that are going to vote will consider those records in our determination of voting for our perspective candidates.

To debunk some of the claims about George W. that he was AWOL from the National Guard. The whole purpose of the National Guard is to allow civilians to carry on with their private lives while keeping current on Military training for times when their country may need them. Recently two soldiers from the Columbus area were killed in action in Iraq and both were in the National Guard.

Clearly George W. Bush could have gotten a college deferment like Bill Clinton and remained in College. Volunteering for a Fighter Pilot in the National Guard is not being a draft dodger. The fact that the Kerry camp is now holding up forged PRIVATE documents to state that George W. didn?’t take a flight physical and disobeyed orders is ridicules. If they are going to rely on official documents to say they prove the Kerry medal flap then they should rely of official documents that gave George W. an honorable discharge.

The Political influence and his family pulling strings to get him into the Guard to avoid the draft is just as ridicules. The fact is most officer positions in our Military are made by ?“POLITICAL INFLUENCE?”. To get into the three Military Academies requires an appointment from a member of Congress. My family was dirt poor, my father was self employed and we never had any health insurance, he never received one dime from unemployment insurance and yet I was offered an appointment to the Naval Academy. I worked for a US Senator?’s son from Florida and he made the arrangements. I turned the appointment down when I realized how many more years I had to serve to get the free education.

Clearly John Kerry did volunteer for a second tour of duty in Viet Nam and only served 4 months of that tour because of three wounds. None of these wounds in these 4 months caused him to be hospitalized nor did they appear to disable him from his duties. Once offered the third Purple Heart Kerry opted to return to state side. Oliver North refused his third Purple Heart to remain with his infantry company. For Mr. Kerry?’s Viet Nam Service we all owe him a debt and our respect.

With that said, his actions after the war are what we question. We all should have heard his testimony in front of the US Senate on April 22, 1972 and how he claimed his fellow soldiers raped and pillaged Viet Nam. With only 4 months in country he observed these atrocities and yet failed to report them or take any actions to stop them. He betrayed his comrades in arms.

Some issues

With that out of the way let?’s talk about where these two Presidential Candidates stand as best we can.

Taxes:

John Kerry wants to raise taxes or at the very least revoke the ?“HUGE?” tax breaks to the rich. That includes everyone that received the $600 checks in 2001 and then the additional child care deductions in 2003.

George W. Bush has already requested and received a tax cut that affected working families. He wants to make these tax cuts permanent.

Health Care:

John Kerry wants to create the same health care system that the US Congress has, much along the line of Hillary?’s failed health care plan of 1993. When asked how does he pay for two trillion dollar health care system he claims this will be paid for by the tax increases to the rich. Remember the tax cut to the rich in 10 years amounts to only a third of the $2 trillion price tag.

George W. Bush Has presented and passed a Prescription Drug bill for seniors, Supported tax breaks for small businesses and is creating health care insurance pools to lower the costs for small business. He is supporting and has passed a health care savings plan to lower cost for self employed citizens.

Economy and Jobs:

John Kerry wants to increase taxes for employers that ship jobs overseas and those that out source work to other countries and I am sorry but I just don?’t know much more about how he is going to lower the 5.4% unemployment rate to zero with $50,000 per year jobs for everyone.

George W. Bush has lowered taxes to businesses and they are expanding. Clearly his tax policies are having a positive affect on jobs and the stock market. After 9/11 the stock market fell over 1,500 points in one week. I know John Kerry would want you to know that George W. Bush caused the 9/11 attack.

The war on Terror:

John Kerry: Flip Flop Flip Flop He believes the Iraq invasion was unnecessary and he would have taken more time. HE calims the money already spent could have been spent better on Health care and education.

George B. Bush: He attacked Iraq because it was a threat to America?’s security and that is his NUMBER ONE JOB. In fact that is the job of every U.S. President. So those that can?’t remember or chose to ignore the terror history of Islamic radicals please follow along with me below.

Beginings of Terror

On September 5, 1972 a small group of PLO terrorists kidnapped a group of Israeli athletes from the Munich Germany Olympics. In the end all of these athletes were killed. Please keep in mind that none of this is talking points from anyone but my own research. Two of the suspects were captured. Later while in a German jail Terrorist from the PLO hijacked a German airliner and demanded those terrorist be release from the German jail and our spineless Germans ?“Allies?” released these two terrorist that worked and reported to Yasser Arafat. Who refused to support the US in the war on Terror in 2002 and 2003? These terrorist took safe haven in Lebanon and Syria.

Then there was the hijacking of the Italian Curse Ship Achille Lauro in 1985 and the murder of Leon Klinghoffer. The man that shot and then pushed the wheel chair bound American Jew over board was Mohammed Adu Abbas. Please note that Mr. Abbas had been on the run since 1985. Guess where Mr. Abbas was captured? That?’s right folks in Iraq last year. He now sits in a jail cell in Italy awaiting trail. Suddam Hussein was giving safe haven to this terrorist for all of these years and he would still be on the loose if George W. hadn?’t took down Iraq.

Then there is the PAN AM flight 103 which was taken down over Lockerbie Scotland on December 12th 1988 with a bomb planted by two terrorist out of Libya. This act of terrorism killed hundreds of Americans and the two men responsible were tried and one convicted on January 31st 2001. Abdelbassef Megrahi was found guilty and sentence to only 20 years.

Clearly I have skipped many of the acts of terror that have occurred against US citizens over the last 30 years. Many of these attacks have been directed at the Israelis as well. The attacks against Americans are to weaken our resolve in our strong support of Israeli.

We all know about the First World Trade center attack carried out and planed by a blind Egyptian Cleric. Then there is the USS Cole in Yemen and some of their citizens. Then there are two African Embassies and many others over the years that have killed innocent Americans.

Please note that in the 1972 Munich Olympics there were 11 Israeli athletes. Was our own 9/11 the sick Islamic mind of escalating the 1972 attack to thousands. So 29 years later they gave the Americans their own horror right in their own country.

Why Iraq?

Then comes Bill Clinton and his coalition with the United Nations just like the war Hero John Kerry is suggesting that we do in Iraq. On October 3rd of 1993 our US Rangers were ambushed by information from an informant that later turned out to be an Osama Bin Laden associate and these Rangers died and their dead bodies were dragged through the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia horrifying Bill and this country. The operational fault was that we couldn?’t get our UN backed armor units in place in time to save these brave men. We should never again rely on foreign troops to give support to our fighting men and women. Bill Clinton cut and run like a coward on October 7th 2003 only 4 days after the deadly encounter. Osama Bin Laden observed that with a little blood and some casualties Americans cut and run. Bill Clinton was tested and he failed. Osama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda troops had scored a great psychological victory over the Americans. This only encouraged them as Bill Clinton was afraid to put boots on the ground to destroy these camps in Afghanistan.

Later we all have heard the story of Bin Laden in the Sudan and what is happening there today? Colin Powell reported this week that the Sudanese Muslins are killing the Sudanese Christians with state sponsored Militias.

What I am trying to illustrate is that the ENTIRE Middle East and its radical muslins are at war with us. It is not one country or one group of muslins it is an entire religion and they travel freely all over the region. Clearly if you can?’t see that then we will all parish from ignorance. John Kerry continues to offer the same strategies as he did during the Viet Nam war of cut and run. If we elect John Kerry our world will become a very dangerous place to live. If these terrorist can kill 3000 Americans in one day by flying into a 107 story office building they can certainly fire chemical artillery shells over the Ohio Stadium with a full crowd of over 100,000 people and make the World Trade centers look like amateur night.

Iraq sits in the middle of the Middle East Region. Our Military has found chemical war headed artillery shells with saran gas capabilities along the road. Do any of you doubt that these terrorist can import these weapons to the US? Clearly we must stabilize this region and build a huge Military base and presents like we did in Germany and South Korea. We have been in these two countries for over 50 years. It will take every bit that long to stabilize the Middle East. Iraq surrounds Iran, Syrian and with the Israelis Lebanon. It over looks Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

John Kerry complains about the $200 billion that we have spent on Iraq. He says it sould have been spent on health care, education and senior care. If we allow our country to cower and be controlled by Islamic fundamentalists then none of those entitlements will be needed. We must free the Middle East and make them part of the Civilized world. Anything less will doom our own freedoms and freedom is not free.
