Sewer Plant
I think we should get more people into the service committee on Thrusday night @ 7:30 PM to let the council members know where we stand. Is Ted going to be back? That would leave only Mitch and Parker. That looks like a tie vote coming our way if those are the only two votes.
How much capacity? for how much? How many years in the future?

The true question that you need to ask and hopefully be able to answer is:
How many houses per year do you want to HAVE to build to supprt any sewer plant expansion?
There is a cost to build a plant and the money comes from one of two places - your pocket as existing customers or by building more houses. Which do you prefer???

what happens if
what happens if there is no new plant built? does one have to be built? wouldn't that effectively shut down housing developments? legally, assuming the CURRENT needs are being met in a clean, safe, and effecitve manner, what happens if the vote is to not do anything?
i apologize if these are stupid questions, but i really don't know... thanks.

Council meeting 4/20
I understand that at the next Pickerington City council meeting they will address the decisions of expanding the current sewer plant up to 3.5 MGD from the current effective flow rate of 1.2 MGD. I think we have all fallen back into that apathy mode that got us in this position in the first place.
I can't stress enough to everyone that visits this site the importance of this council decision to NOT do the currently proposed expansion.
This 2.3 MGD expansion will allow 7,500 more homes into Pickerington. I doubt the current council members will still be there in 20 years to protect your interests. Do you want to leave this sewer capacity for the builders in four or eight years? The sewer expansion is nothing more than an extension of Joyce Bushman's failed polices. Some on council are getting concerned that the public has given up.
Most of the new council members would like to explain their positions to you directly and not thru the papers. This will be the most important decision this new government makes in the next four years. Everyone that can attend please do. Public support is very important.
Don't leave this issue up to Doug Parker.
