I believe you may have posted the last response following Mrs. Ricketts. Of course I could be wrong but the ring of the posting is too familiar to me.
You have always had an ax to grind with the Ricketts and have accused many in the community of being their pawns, including me, in writing, officially, on city letterhead and possibly in anonymous letters I received that have been sent by either you or whomever supports your interests. I am amazed that you or whomever you are do not get it even now. You still create in your mind some kind of Soap Opera, where subversive groups of people vie to ''mislead'' the people of the city. You have often publicly stated it was always a few misinformed citizens...now is it the few.... who have brainwashed the many?
Did you ever think that many people have supported these effort in a last ditch attempt to restore the quality of life that used to exist here? That the did it for their kids...who each year get a little less and less at school while it costs mom and dad a little...make that a lot more every few years to support the schools? Mom and Dad did some calculating and figured out that if this continued that in ten years their property taxes could exceed 11 to 12,000 dollars to support all the school construction and operating levies needed to maintain the quality of the schools.
When you are gone, so much will come out, your employees, many whom are excellent people, will be free of your control to tell what has gone on.(some already have) And every shredder in the city will not discard the truth.
I honestly think you started out with good intentions ten years ago. Somehow, those good intentions got directed by those who have a vested interest in profit as you say the Ricketts do.The Ricketts are large landowners, they have sold to develop. One thing they do is to talk to the neighbors and try to format something that everyone can live with. That is a lot more than we can say about many developers and even city council who have squashed citizen efforts at every turn. A government who executes pre annexation contracts without public imput which shape the future of the community. All of this in the name of the best interests of the citizens.
I will be glad to see you move.
