my team?

Sorry, don't really have a ''team'', and if we really are acquainted, you'd know that I'm not inclined to base my opinions of others on what any team thinks, even if it's my team.

From what I know, Bob is a decent guy who stood against a well funded group of looters willing to bend the rules, buy politicians, or whatever else they needed to do to stay in power. They used that power to act against what the majority of this community wanted.

I met him at a council meeting, where he spoke on behalf of the position I support. He did so at great effort, since his wheelchair wouldn't fit into the room. I watched as he put together newsletters that helped mobilize a community on a budget that would make a builders secretary cringe. For those reasons he has my respect, and if he has something to say, I hope he continues to post it here.

Why don't you go ahead and pick on me instead...you'd be a lot better off doing that than you would trying to pick on Mr Harding.

One bit of good news for you, this ends our discussion until you have mustered the nerve to sign one of your postings, as I always do. What are you afraid of?

DAH!!!

The reason why Terry Dunlap and Harry Myers don't like Bob is that they own the land around Allen Road and want all of that new commercial development to benefit their land. They are concerned the the same effort to control the city will migrate to the township. It should. Don't get me wrong I think that commercial development does need to come the school district, but I find it unethical to have two trustees making decisions in that area when they stand to benefit personally. It sounds like if you have land to sell in the next several years, all you have to do is run for a City position or a Township position and then just bully your way through the public under the guise of development. You're busted Terry and Harry. What ever happened to ethics?
Finally, go Bob. We appreciate your thoughts and writings no matter the distance. It is good to hear from you. Welcome back anytime.

Ass-u-me

You make an awful large assumption when you state that Bob is not liked by these people. What facts do you have to support that?

And as far as property location goes, at least one of those trustees and their ancestors have been proud to hold onto their family property for longer than the City has EXISTED. The incentives to sell have always been there, and most folks would have already bit the bullet and moved on. Maybe retiring on the ''family farm'' is a hard dream to conceptualize for some, but an easy choice for others.

It's pretty easy to see everything how YOU would do it through your glass house, isn't it?

Wait a Minute....

Your reasoning for not wanting Bob to post here anymore doesn't make sense. Bob will be filing a tax return here for 2003. But even more importantly, PATA doesn't have a membership, and anyone who signs up on this website is permitted to post. PATA is about communicating information to the public that isn't available elsewhere, and the Discussion area is an open forum for people to express their views. This has been nothing but an attack on Bob, without any attention being paid to his message.

I appreciate the fact that Bob still posts here. He was instrumental in building PATA, and still has lots of information and insight that will benefit this community. It's unfortunate that you want to chase someone from a public website because he moved less than 3 weeks ago. I hope you don't receive the same treatment by those who may not agree with you.

While I may not agree with what you have to say, I firmly believe you have every right to your opinion. Isn't that what America is about? Can you extend the same courtesy to Bob?
