About our association

OLDE HUNTER'S CROSSING ASSOCIATION

The Olde Hunter's Crossing Association is a politically independent community organization, chartered as a not-for-profit provincial LLC. It is financially self-supporting through annual membrship dues and (non-charitable) contributions. Our Association is elected by our neighborhood and it is here to serve the neighborhood. It is committed to preserve the integrity of this neighborhood as a  vibrant, safe, neighbourhood, to preserving a rich quality of life for all its members, and to foster a sense of neighborly spirit.

Olde Hunter's Crossing Association is comprised of a board and several Committees of ELECTED officers. These volunteers are not paid, and are elected by you at the OHC Annual Meeting which is held in early October. The primary function of the board is to:

Manage liability insurance.
Repair and maintenance of Common Area.
Collect Dues and Manage the budget.
Provide a Newsletter and/or Web site.
Administer Covenants & Restrictions when requested.

In regards to the "Covenants & Restrictions" if you feel your neighbour has overstepped a particular Covenant or Restrictions please tell him/her about it kindly and see if there's a way to work things out. Think of it this way: Wouldn't you be grateful if a neighbor approached you directly about a problem, rather than letting it fester and blowing out of proportion. If an issue cannot be worked out then please, in writing contact the president of the OHC board.

The 2004 elected board for the association is as follows:

President: Lisa Smith 14587 Powderhorn Trail
Treasurer: Jay Truttman 14649 Hunters Trail
Secretary: Ann Rutherford 14560 Powderhorn Trail

Our Architectural & Environmental Review section is comprised of two parts the first part is the Architectural and Review Board. This board approves new home plans. The officers are as follows:

Roger L Van Wyk - 14700 James St.
Paul Bruursema - 184 W.35th St.
Doug VanOss -
Alicia Kramer - 475 N.120th Ave.

The second part is the Architectural & Environmental Review Board. This board handles all approvals on existing homes (e.g., fences, pools, etc,). The officers are as follows:

Mike Moraw - 14664 Hunter's Trail
Bob Peters - 14577 Powderhorn Trail

Our Welcomming committee is chaired by Jeanne Kellner, and I believe Jeanne is looking for additional members.

WEB SITE

By December we plan to have completed the majority of OHC web site. We still need information in different areas. We now have a "chat room" please check it out as l need help on how we would like to handle different areas on the web site. Also check out our event calendar and newsletters. This web site currently does not handle multiple photos so to get around this we will use the contact page for photos.

If you feel I have missed any areas or have information you would like placed in the newsletter, please let me know. We hope you will share your ideas and help us build a special community of friends that make up Olde Hunter's Crossing. To contact the me please click on the "Email You Neighborhood Leader" on the left hand side of the screen. Thank you.
