Okolona Park Neighborhood Association

History

OPNA has just been around for a little over a year. Our first goal was to get organized and have regular monthly meetings. That goal has been accomplished. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Wilderness Center 8111 Blue Lick at 6:30-7:30.

Goal for 2009

Our main goal for 2009 is to increase membership. We have a great base of members that are working hard! We would like to increase participation so that we can increase the number of activities we can organize.

In addition to membership we would like to get a Farmers Market started. This is going to be a joint effort with Councilwoman Madonna Flood's office (district 24).

Farmers Market

We began our Farmers Market this year with great success.  So much so that are moving locations.  We will begin in the spring at Southern High School.  Our Market Manager Carrie Elmore has done a great job and we can't thank our vendors enough for sticking through the first year with us!  Thanks to everyone that came to the Farmer's Market or helped in any way!!
