Looking at some of the comments about kids cutting through yards, I wonder if it is the kids fault. Quite honestly when I was a kid, if my parents hadn't told me that it was not acceptable to walk through somebody else's yard I wouldn't have known. Maybe the parents should tell their kids the same message, respect other peoples property as you would respect your own. Be responsible for your children, Let them know what is to be expected of them on a behavioral line.

I for one have asked my neighbor to please remind his kids not cut through our yard and he informed me that the very back of our yards was an easement and therefore public property. Sometimes you just can't win with the parents either.

There are ways we as a community can bond together and solve some of these problems, please feel free to contact me and I will get the board involved with your problem. If we are to succede as a neighborhood, we need to address the problems that face us each day and if one of those problems is the fact that a parent won't control their child then there are avenues to pursue corrective action at that level also.

We feel like this issue does need to be addressed. Parents and the children who are old enough to know better need to have a discussion with law enforcement about what is appropriate and legal to do. We can not continue to have kids taking things out of people's property, rolling their eyes at adults that have asked them to move away from their homes or the final straw fighting with each other on other people's property. There are a group of kids that are hanging out in a part of our neighborhood where they do not live and the parents either don't know what they are doing or choose to ignore it because they don't see it. We love our neighborhood, but the increasing issues with kids in the neighborhood is getting very old very fast. This should not need to be a worry when you return home.
