The buildings at 935 Camden are finally down. Of course, the debris is still laying in a heap although it was supposed to have been cleaned up two weeks after the fire fighters had completed their training. I understand Maurice Haag, the owner, is under a Court Order to get this cleaned up by February 4th. Let's keep an eye on this to be sure he follows the Court Order.

I agree! Let's also watch for what the owner puts there. It is a rumor that he wants to build an apartment house. Oakdale is not zoned for that and we don't want it!

Most of the probllems the Southe End has are due to government programs and policies. All the mess stared when Arcadia Apts came into the ownership of a finagler who used governmenet programs for purchaswe and renovation but the work was never done but the money disappeared. Hence bad tenants. The other is irressponsible
speculators. We are paying the bill and the pity is the properties they hold will never be redeveloped in their lifetimes.

Southend

I agree that there are many issues surrounding the problems we have in the southend! We need to start to work together and make is a nice place to live,work and play (just like Mayor Jerry talks about Louisville.)
