It wasn?’t spooky, but there was a lot of fun! It wasn?’t scary, but there were plenty of new and old friends around. And, it wasn?’t frightening, but there were plenty of friendly people with lots of candy. In October NCC joined with our new friends from Old Shepherdsville Rd. Christian Church for Trunk or Treat, an alternative to Halloween night trick or treating.
More than a dozen cars and trucks were in the NCC parking lot, most of them decorated for the evening, as children from both churches gathered all the goodies they could carry. The children went from vehicle to vehicle to fill their bags and containers. There was plenty of good music, plenty of fun and games, and plenty of good conversation for children and adults. If you missed it, you missed a great time.
Trunk or Treat was the first joint event between NCC and OSRCC and the people there hoped it was just the start of a great relationship between our congregations. Our desire to give children a fun night may grow into something very special and blessed by God.
