North Garrison Heights is located in the southeastern quadrant of the city. The neighborhood is characterized by single-family residential development to the north and multi-family to the south.

North Garrison Heights consists of primarily ranch-style, single-family homes on small lots. Most of these homes were built during the 1950's and 1960's although the northern part of the neighborhood has several new developments. These developments have narrower streets, sidewalks and the homes are mostly two level.
