Why can't we get a discussion going? Are there no issues of importance to our neighborhood and to our neighbors? You can discuss anything in ''Talk About It'' as long as you keep it civil and respectful to other people. We want this to be a forum for ideas, complaints, issues, problems, etc. Anything that you think needs bringing up or should be discussed by a wide group of our neighbors. Write and let us know what you think.
No Discussion Issues

Maybe because no one is really aware of this. I have received the newsletter since moving here. Although you publicize the web site, I'm not sure people are checking it out. I had no idea it had so much information. I have read other postings. The reason I have signed on today for garage sale information. I have called the contact for the garage sale, and I too have been totally ignored -- I even left a message with a real person (not a voice mail) and still nothing. If you want participation, and publish a phone number, response is essential to a successful project. I will be checking in to the web site more frequently now!

No Discussion Issues

Hi T. Miner,

I'm glad to see that someone is starting to use this discussion area. It was meant to foster intercommunication between members and neighbors, but it hasn't been used very much since inception. When I was Newsletter Editor, I tried to promote the Web site as much as possible. We currently have about 250 to 300 hits per month, but it has been as high as 400. I'm sorry that I haven't replied to your comments until now. Unfortunately, I was traveling from the end of July to the beginning of October. Even though I check the Web site about once a week, I have to apologize because I missed your two comments (on the greenbelt and this one)until now. I guess I missed them because we have so little usage of the ''Talk About It'' discussion area that I inadvertently overlooked them. I try to keep the Web site updated, but since I am no longer the Newsletter Editor it takes me a little longer to get the updated info on the site. I use to put the info on the site right after finishing the newsletter and prior to its being published and distributed. Unfortunately, the newsletter was late in publication in October--I didn't get my copy until October 15, just prior to the Garage Sale on the 18th. You are perfectly correct about the lack of responsiveness not being helpful to the success of a project. I apologize for that failure--I do not know why it happened. Please, if you do not get a response from someone in the association, there are plenty of people who will respond. You can e-mail or call the president or one of the board members or you can contact the association through this Web site (E-mail Your Neighborhood Leader on the left side of the site). I will forward your comments to the NCTONA President for his information and action. I will keep the Web site updated with the latest information--please keep using it and checking it out. You might even consider adding your biography to the ''Meet Your Neighbors'' area, another little used section of the Web site.
