" Bush did as much if not more campaigning than obama now. "

"Obama has held more re-election fundraisers than previous five Presidents
combined as he visits key swing states on 'permanent campaign'

By Toby Harnden

    • Barack Obama has already held more re-election
fundraising events than every elected president since Richard Nixon combined,
according to figures to be published in a new book.

Obama is also the only president in the past
35 years to visit every electoral battleground state in his first year of
office.

The figures, contained a in a new book called The
Rise of the President’s Permanent Campaign by Brendan J. Doherty, due to be
published by University Press of Kansas in July, give statistical backing to the
notion that Obama is more preoccupied with being re-elected than any other
commander-in-chief of modern times.

Doherty, who has compiled statistics about
presidential travel and fundraising going back to President Jimmy Carter in
1977, found that Obama had held 104 fundraisers by March 6th this year, compared
to 94 held by Presidents Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Snr, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush combined.

Since then, Obama has held another 20
fundraisers, bringing his total to 124. Carter held four re-election fundraisers in the 1980 campaign, Reagan zero in 1984, Bush Snr 19 in 1992, Clinton 14 in
1996 and Bush Jnr 57 in 2004.

Oh I see -Fundraisers-

From now on fundraising is equivalent to campaigning. And as bad as that is--- and i DO agree, the president should be running the country, not fundraising/campaigning especially for the lame ducks new potential successor by the way, but here we have a new challenge to prove that these 124 reelection fundraisers since his first year, are or were for his re-election and only-------. I'd say that 57 is quite a large number too, but for some odd reason no one felt that should be an issue. But note that Jr. did in fact do more of this -fundraising- than either of his predecessors put togethger first. Obama just set a NEW disgraceful bar that made Bush look a little better. But lets qualify every little feeling every little gaff and every little association and every little speech and gathering as fundraisers, so we can get the truest definition of campaigning too. As I said and it's as good as this coming book, Bush did as much if not more campaigning than Obama. Every time that spook stood in front of the camera it was a campaign. But that's just opinion after all. Besides if any of them have enough cash to run then it's all about campaigning. God take us back to 1948.

Most would love it if you went back to 1948 - before you had a computer and bombarded us with your supposedly 'downhome' way of thinking complete with wrong and/or mispelled words and blame it on 'sausage fingers' when in fact it seems to be lame brain.

As such the whole damn article and the eventual book.

Look, take your pointless drivel and write a book too. I tell you what you can call it, I'm just curious--- because I don't know a damn thing unless it's a democrats term. Do yourself a favor and try to recal at least ONE stinking thing any republican has done or might yet do that compares to any dumbocrats. Youre just upset because the article pointed out a little naughty Bush pulled too, but were too uber-right winged  to have seen it. 48 was a wonderful time, the rich paid their share.
