I wonder what clam is gathering with their buckets? Perhaps some raindrops. Only time will tell. W - a - a - y too technical for me!

You didn't have to tell us.   We all know just about everything, especially science, is too technical for you.

Let me take you by the hand and lead you to the intent behind my bucket question. If testing air quality in buckets were so reliable or latest technology, I believe the EPA would have had those in place for eons. My question was what is commonly known as an ironic comment.

I took it to be more of a moronic comment.

They are collecting air samples.   To do this at many places around the city and at many times of day, they can get a better idea of just how bad the air is and in what areas it is the worst.

The EPA could do this but haven't the budget.   Appropriate the money and then ask them to do it.

No budget my aching a$$. Every dept of the govt spends like there is no tomorrow - and at the rate they're going, there may not be.

As to the reference to the comment -I can't count the number of moronic comments that have been noted under your name.

I don't know about much of this issue there, but on certain days when the wind is from that direction, we can see the smoke from that area for miles in an endless ribbon of contrast gray and such. Now to be fair, that might be the power plants there too. We use to hear talk about the great fishing behind the -alcohol plant- in Muscatine but that was so long ago. Yup we always heard that they bit on just about anything there. Kinda like behind Clinton Corn, they said there was always good fishing there too. Now for those of you who ever drove through Clinton you might recall how rotten the air smelled there especially along 67 past DuPont.  The last time we drove by, it wasn't bad at all, some 4or5 years ago. It must be bad though for folks to be so riled and to sue.
