Without much hope, I will ask my questions again.  Maybe some small bit of integrity will win out and they will be answered in plain English.

By the way, these questions were in reference to the original post and were directed to the original poster instructor Joe (er, excuse me.  I meant BDI):

HiR, I'll try to help you out.

"I really don't understand the original post.  I guess you are talking about income tax.

Mostly.

Can you give some examples of wealthy people complaining about paying most of the taxes?

Limbaugh, Cal Thomas, Krauthammer.   That's a start.

How much tax did GE pay?  Murdoch's corp.?  (I'll throw in Buffett for good measure)

Zero, I don't know, less than his secretary.

Who are the wealthy?

Those having annual incomes of over $1,000,000 and/or a net worth of over $100,000,000.

What is their fair share?

39%

Can you give me a % amount that you consider "fair"?  If not, you really have no complaint.

See above.

What % is "fair for the poor, (0%) the middle income, (15%) the high middle income, (20%) the comfortable but not wealthy? (25%)   Have you figured all this out?

In my opinion a certain % flat tax should be paid by everyone.  And I do mean everyone.  Everyone should have a real "stake" in our country.

You would take 20 or 25 cents out of the only dollar a guy earned?   Even a guy with no legs and one arm?

Corporations are publically owned companies by definition.  Do you realize that no business actually pays taxes?  It is their customers that pay those taxes.  When taxes are raised on any business, they must either raise their prices, cut their quality, lay off workers, go overseas, or go out of business?  All taxes 'trickle down'.  We've really had this discussion before.  Libs never learn."

We understand the fallacy of this but are unable to get it into the closed minds of the conservatives.

Now, are you happier with some numbers?

I guess it's pretty obvious to all, by now, that you really are BDI!  Since you called BDI's original post yours and you feel compelled to answer for BDI.

And this means that you are probably other bogus posters also.  What a slime ball.

Whew what a posting frenzy giving the wealthy a little guff can muster.

In MY post not mallory, just curious or anyone else you might hope is, well it was the transforative form of comment meaning that Romney thinks corpaerica is the average hiroad etc. but the truth is they are not. the way this sytstem works is much easier for those at the top of the financial ladder to claim integrity while paying the smallest percent possible. You have so many convoluted arguments it's nearly laughable when an attempt to garner support for the rich is played out. Sure the consumers pay it all anyway. Always have --as the rich find the easiest way to keep their huge profits and sheltered dividends handed to them by the tax code makers. GE paid 3.7% and many otrher corporations (people) paid the same. Are you or anyone else seriously trying to say we need to allow these Billionairs to keep these mountainous prifits because they like to rais the costs on ALL of us? Laughable. By the way, my transforative was that the EXTREMELY wealthy, low tax rate paying Romney clearly stated that these are people, not corporations (essentially) If rush can go that route so can I. You know free ---speech and all.

Otherwise, it's pointless to ask what a fair tax rate would be. But since we want to know,? 10% Everyone even the guy with no legs. Because the reality is--- that legless guy hasn't any money. And, I';m positive had he the knowledge that all those other millions of tax payers were paying their FAIR share, he'd be fine with it. I would. Oh also, I wasn't on line because my butt hurt yesterday. Not that it should matter. Besides by now I'm wondering just who the hell you think I am. Must be terrible to live in such a paranoid world. By the measure of a person't quandries we can see inside just enough to get a good sense of the fright one suffers. I feel a little bit sorry for you.

How much tax did GE pay?  Murdoch's corp.?  (I'll throw in Buffett for good measure)

Zero, I don't know, less than his secretary.

(Zero is correct,  $4.8 Billion over the last 5 years is the answer,  Zero is the answer)

Who are the wealthy?

Those having annual incomes of over $1,000,000 and/or a net worth of over $100,000,000.

(What if they make $900,000 per year?  Not wealthy?  What if the 2013 dollar is worthless?  Then who is wealthy?)

What is their fair share?

39%

(Why 39%?  Do you feel the government deserves this 39%?)

Can you give me a % amount that you consider "fair"?  If not, you really have no complaint.

See above.

(Why isn't 40% or 38% fair?.  Do you really feel you have the expertise to set these rates?)

What % is "fair for the poor, (0%) the middle income, (15%) the high middle income, (20%) the comfortable but not wealthy? (25%)   Have you figured all this out?

(ditto)

In my opinion a certain % flat tax should be paid by everyone.  And I do mean everyone.  Everyone should have a real "stake" in our country.

You would take 20 or 25 cents out of the only dollar a guy earned?   Even a guy with no legs and one arm?

(No, but I would take something.  Probably starting at a few pennies.  We would all be better off if we all had a stake in our country.  If you told us you had "no money",  we wouldn't want to see you standing around in front of the library puffing on cigarettes, would we?)

(Fallacy?  Explain your reasoning.  Otherwise, its' just an opinion.  And a stupid one at that.  By the way, I do listen to logical arguments.  I do not listen to "liberish")
