Romney slammed for not paying fair share in taxes

Posted in: Muscatine
What? no answers to our ?'s? It appears that hiroad and I asked ?'s that you are either unable or unwilling to answer.

I think your ?'s are a diversion. There are simple facts that can not be denied. At least by those with half a clue as to how the system works.

If we look at corporate profits over the past 11 years in relation to wages we'll see that corporate profit has ballooned while wage compensation has remained virtually stagnate. Then if you throw in the fact that corporations are not paying their fair share in taxes, you create an environment of a two class society. Rich and poor.

If you need links let me know....

First of all the title of this thread is words to the effect that Romney is being slammed for n ot paying his fair share of taxes. I distictly remember you getting your boxers in a bunch if anyone veered off the subject in the title. Not one place in that whole diatribe by beadyeye did I see who or what was slamming Romney for not   paying his fair share of taxes. It appears that diversions are rampant in the libs and the thread by tp is just one more.

Please read hiroads explanation of how corporations taxes are paid by consumers. The pos potus is trying to create an environment of a two class society - not the conservatives or the corporations.

So, you do not question what I have stated, just that maybe it should not have been stated here? A lot like the ?'s I'd guess.

However I did address the topic. Romney not paying his fair share in taxes.... IE corporations. See the connection?

Without much hope, I will ask my questions again.  Maybe some small bit of integrity will win out and they will be answered in plain English.

By the way, these questions were in reference to the original post and were directed to the original poster instructor Joe (er, excuse me.  I meant BDI):

"I really don't understand the original post.  I guess you are talking about income tax.

Can you give some examples of wealthy people complaining about paying most of the taxes?

How much tax did GE pay?  Murdoch's corp.?  (I'll throw in Buffett for good measure)

Who are the wealthy?  What is their fair share?  Can you give me a % amount that you consider "fair"?  If not, you really have no complaint.

What % is "fair for the poor, the middle income, the high middle income, the comfortable but not wealthy?   Have you figured all this out?

In my opinion a certain % flat tax should be paid by everyone.  And I do mean everyone.  Everyone should have a real "stake" in our country.

Corporations are publically owned companies by definition.  Do you realize that no business actually pays taxes?  It is their customers that pay those taxes.  When taxes are raised on any business, they must either raise their prices, cut their quality, lay off workers, go overseas, or go out of business?  All taxes 'trickle down'.  We've really had this discussion before.  Libs never learn."
