       Nature handles overpopulation.  Nothing more is needed.

  Extinction of species?

        It's natural for species to become extinct.  What's the problem?

  Replacing non-renewable resources?

         If there is a demand, it will be filled.  What's the problem?

  Starvation?

          The Ag industry has done more to reduce starvation than any government.  In fact starvation is worse under totalitarian governments, not under capitalism.

  Desertification?

          Who do you think invented the technology to do this?  Not any government.

  Ebola virus?

        Natural selection at work

  Greenland ice cap melting?

        LMAO

  Over fishing the oceans?

        And the government has solved this problem?

Educating the children of the poor?

        ditto

  Providing fire protection to the community?

        Granted

  Police protection?

        Granted

  Creating and maintaining a highway system?

        Who built the highways?  The army?

  Terrorism?

         Same as war

   Illegal immigration

        The fed. government is doing a bang up job here, what?

When I read through this, it seems the free market does little to nothing to solve any of these major problems of the world.

Except maybe desertification.   Not sure what you are talking about there.   Explain?

So how can you say the free market will handle everything.
