Were it up to me, we would be leaving the rest of the whole freakin world alone, except for whatever trade was necessary. We would make everything we needed here, and trade our goods for whatever materials we needed. Our borders would be secure and immigration would be limited. We would spend our money wisely. No more handouts unless it was aid for victims of disasters.
We would build up the strongest, best equipped amd most modern military in the world, for our own protection only.
