"I understand hiroad. I really do. But lets just cut to the chase. Bush acted like democrats act, He was a huge disappointment to historicle republican theology. He was nothing like the man he portrayed himself to be, acting more like a liberal except regarding how to set up the tax code. We can banter over lies and more lies and who said or did what until pigs learn to fly. But the bottom line will remain perspective and how we have turned out since his first taking of the oath. No personal attacks to one another will never change the facts of the failures, mistakes, and outright misuse of office or successes. The record waxes and wanes depending upon what news or talk show we listen to or authors we read. I choose to be wiser than to pick a side because I vote republican. I'm not ashamed of it, I just trust there is a good one. I choose the old ways of governing. *The buck stops here. Good night."
Those are all generalities. You have yet to provide any evidence of intentional or significant evilness resulting from anything that W. did. I believe your animosity all stems from his, and Teddy Kennedy's, NCLB law. You know, the one that shook up the teachers union's comfortable little rat's nest.
I was afraid of that. It's all generalities if we want it to be. It pains me as a republican and supporter of a nation that deserves better. Our democracy should never be left up to an interpretaion filled with generalities. So the answer here at least, is that these were not, and are not. There is no disputing these issues regarding yellow cake, outing a cia agent, no wmd, no mobile chemical weapons labs, nor connection between iraq and 9/11. I'm sorry hiroad, but these are not generalities. They are on countless records of voice and video. Did he lie as one would with something to hide. There is a chance that some of this, he did not. He claimed to be going by reports. Unfortunately at least two were not merely reports but, declared noncredible known to the president the very day he went ahead and called them good intel. That is a lie in any form of communication and not a generality. Using the justice dept. as a political tool is clearly not a generality either. Hence the resignation of it's head. Again all backed by video and recording plus thousands of email. Then there is the grandest lie of all to me, that *these free trade deals will create millions of jobs right here in America. *That these trade deals are good for our economy. Well sir, our economy is you, me, our neighbors and our children. Not those corporate thugs who have raped our economy thanks to every one of them clinton, bush and even now obama have signed. I would love to be able to say none of this is true nor relevant, but it is and it
will always be. I would love to be able to say that *our cushy rats nests are what his signature got rid of, but in truth it riddled the best education this country had to offer. Teddy boy had a bit different vision for our students and it didn't amount to the demise of our schools and better education. Why anyone would sign such a bill is beyond me. But to give your point there some credence, yes. It peeved me off, even though I was no longer teaching by then. But good sir, that has nothing to do with recognizing the basket of mistakes he made.
