These guys in Congress and the Senate of course are imperfect, just like all of us. The problem is that a lot of them, like Weiner don't believe they are imperfect.
Looking at the bigger picture we allow these legislators to ignore the constitution, their oaths of office, and conduct themselves like nitwits. No wonder they think they can get away with anything.
There is no constitutional crises here. As far as we know now, no laws were even broken.
A guy got some some gratificaton in exchanging indecent or lewd pictures with some women. It was stupid. He should have known that someone would let it out to the public. Or probably someone found out about it and set him up. And he got caught. Most people think of it as inappropriate but it is not illegal as long as everyone is an adult.
When this member of Congress claimed that his acct had been hacked the wheels started turning very fast to find the facts as the security of the country is jeopardized if persons in Congress and/or administration have their computer/blackberry accts hacked. So this is not as simple as you are purporting msmal.
I thought I was told it was his personal device, not his government blackberry or whatever they use. And I believe he now admits it was not hacked.
So now that we know that his blackberry was not hacked, now it has been revealed that this man has been doing this for YEARS which indicates some kind of compulsion
How can you diagnose it as a compulsion? For a comparison, not all gamblers are compulsive gamblers.

When this person does not acknowledge to himself that when he gets caught it will have very negative consequences to his marriage, his career, his reputation - that man has a real problem because he can not control himself.
He's acknowledged he has a problem and is aware it has an effect on marriage etc.
Are we sure this is the only area of his life that he can not control?
No, we aren't, but I'm not even going to speculate if it's the only one. There's no reason to believe otherwise.
