These are my words, not a cut and paste.
These guys in Congress and the Senate of course are imperfect, just like all of us. The problem is that a lot of them, like Weiner don't believe they are imperfect.
Looking at the bigger picture we allow these legislators to ignore the constitution, their oaths of office, and conduct themselves like nitwits. No wonder they think they can get away with anything.
We cannot possibly come out ahead when we allow people like this to make decisions about our health care, energy use, and other things that rightly belong to the individual citizen.
This arrogant and amoral narcissistic Weiner guy is just a symptom. They believe that the majority of voters think like some teenager that is only interested in instant gratification or only in what they can scam out of the system. Is that were we have ended up? I know I'm not there yet. But are the majority only interested in what is in the federal hog trough and their position at that trough?
