The last time I looked, the FAA was part of the Executive branch of government (under the Transportation Dept.). And the last time I looked the President of the United States is the head of the Executive branch. And the last time I looked, a Republican is not the President of the United States. bigbrother Neighbor Muscatine, Iowa 6176 Posts	I think the unions would prefer better shift management. Not have a day shift and a night shift so close together. Are they allowed to negotiate those working conditions? Maybe that would take more employees which some would be against. Or maybe we should reduce staff and just shut down the aiports at night. I just read today, one of the sleepers did an 8 hour day shift and after two hours sleep did an 8 hour night shift. That's poor staff management and a recipe for disaster. Well...its nobama's FAA and his sleeper cell on the tower watch!!!!! April 16th 2011 Report Reply
