Will Old Man Hahn quit?

Sorry, I've been gone for a couple of days.  Old White men are those who act like Hahn did.  Even the Muscatine Journal, in their editorial, addressed this issue.  When being asked a question, old white men most of the time either ignore it, spin it, or get mad.

Perhaps one of the best legislators Muscatine has ever had, Dick Drake, who was taken off the Senate floor more than once by ambulance stayed in the Iowa Senate one term too much.  This shouldn't happen to Hahn, who is starting to act like a old white man.


So, what about the grouchy, microphone-hogging lady who demanded to know Mr Hahn's age? Don't we have a category for that or is that just SOP. Rudeness seems to have become standard behavior. So your answer that white old men ignore it might have been a good tactic for Hahn, however he shouldn't have anyone, including a voter, demand to know his age.

Jim Hahn is an excellent legislator and too much of a gentleman to put that microphone hogging witchwithab in her place.

TP was talking about "prejudice" not discrimination.   Try again?

 

You are so right. The two are completely different, starting with the fact one is illegal and the other is not.


Prejudice:

1: injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims

Discrimination:
1.an act or instance of discriminating.
2. treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination.
 3.the power of making fine distinctions; discriminating judgment: She chose the colors with great discrimination.
4. Archaic . something that serves to differentiate.

Amazing isn't it Hiroad? Can you imagine being in John Boehner's shoes and in a meeting with the scariest three liberals - obama, reid and biden? I give him credit for standing firm in what the Republicans have presented to finance the gov't for the rest of the 2011 fiscal year. The libs could have had the budget that they want if they had only done their job last fall and passed THEIR budget when it was due and they had control of both the house and senate as well as the WH. No, they dithered around and now have become indignant because they can't continue spending like they've won the lottery. Boo Hoo

 

Oh there are a couple more really scary libs - pelosi and schumer.
