Obama on Guns & taxes

Posted in: Muscatine

Joe the Plumber is the big news on TV because he had the audacity to ask Obama about his tax plan. Obama gave him a bunch of jibberish and explained it simply as a "redistribution of wealth". So now MSM has jumped all over that -poor Joe has been examined with a fine tooth comb and all his dirty laundry (they think) has been hung on the line for all to see. First of all, his first name is not Joe - do we know anyone running for POTUS who has gone by more than one name. Joe does not have a "plumbers license" - although his employer has one that covers his employees - but MSM is making a big deal inferring that he isn't qualified to be a plumber - is anyone else seeing some kind of similar thinking about a candidate for POTUS?

Anyway, I am feeling some empathy for Joe. He just happened to be close when Obama came by and asked for an explanation. Now all of this hullabaloo about him to keep all us from talking about the REAL issue of REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH.

Think about how you want YOUR "wealth" distributed.

Better read between the lines with this Obama dude....voting record speaks for itself.

Fwd: An underlying issue is at hand, folks. Obama keeps professing that he will leave the second amendment intact and that it would not be at risk from his administration. However, in light of the fact that we could see some retirements of Supreme Court Justices during the next presidential term, it would behoove all to add this bit of information for voters to consider. While Obama could leave the second amendment intact on the whole, he could still have it functionally dismantled by placing liberal-minded justices on the bench, who would then lend themselves to what they have been doing...and that is legislating from the bench.

This would then open the door to chopping away at elements of the second amendment, or any other, until it had no substance remaining, even though the actual amendment remains intact. In looking at the ages of the current Supreme Court, the reality of what could happen is even more apparent. We do not need an Obama administration. Couple that with a liberal-controlled Congress to approve liberal justices' appointments, and we could have an unraveling of our Constitution. There is more to a vote for President than just candidate appeal, folks....

Pass the word...

  • John Paul Stevens, 88
  • Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 75
  • Antonin Scalia, 72
  • Anthony Kennedy, 71
  • Stephen Breyer, 69
  • David Souter, 68
  • Clarence Thomas, 60
  • Samuel Alito, 58
  • John Roberts, 53

That is SO true BB. With all three branches of the US govt under democratic control I can't even imagine how the USA could/would change.

BB I need your thoughts on this ; Obama has said that his tax cuts would be for 95% of taxpayers - however about 30% do not pay taxes. I just heard this morning a really clear explanation of how it would work for those who work but do not earn enough to pay taxes - the FICA that is taken out of their pay by employers would be a refund to them. So, those people would essentially not pay into Social Security. How does that sit with most folks? What will happen to SS when those very folks that did not pay into SS then proceed to draw on it upon retirement age? If I understand how it (SS) is operating now is the folks that are working and paying into SS is what is keeping it afloat now - so if some are not paying into - or getting it back in the form of a "tax break" how can this work? Is this a problem or am I seeing problems where none exist? Somehow my gut says don't swallow this one!

I just read on another blog that several people in MO have reported that when they got their credit card statements there was a charge of $2300 and the merchant name was "Obama for America". They reported that the Obama campaign had been contacted and said that they were aware of some of these and that the persons had been refunded. BTW the charges originated in Chicago.

So, my fellow Americans - check your credit card statements now and often!
