Obamas past?

Posted in: Muscatine

As much as Obama's past concerns me - and trust me IT does concern me, what his plans for the future of the United States of America concern me MUCH more. His past associations with people who do not have the interests of the USA in their hearts, coupled with Pelosi and Reid make me break into a cold sweat.

Gosh thanks I think.

I did that once and found out it was simply a vote for one of the other two we didn't want in the first place. People have been on a quest for change since Adam chose Eve over God's perfect Eden. ( cannot wait to read the ditties about that one) I think it's out I'm a gal, and trust me here, we gals have been taking heat for that one ever since.

My family has been saddened that niether Romney nor Paul were nominated. How does a guy as simply stated as Ross Perot get so close, but similar types get shoved out? Ross hit every nail-head too. He talked clearly to the point and did what these boys and gal cannot seem to do. Tell us exactly how they will deal with our messes. But it is hard to see where that will matter now. So as before Clinton, we have to dig our way back to the top of this mountain of debt and fith once more. My sister-in-law said that she might move to Canada if Obama doesn't win. I thought that a bit dramatic but I understand. Though she would never do that or be able, just the "thought that counts."

God Bless

Maxen is it?

You got grit, I like that. Edgy and kinda off the wall, a little cutesy, a  bit lost with ladies needs maybe, and a bit dense perhaps, but all in all a fun guy. Just kidding! But seriously. Along with my educating history and economics "Wizardry" I did quite well at psycology but opted to teach economics instead since that my friend, seemd to be where the "money was at" No punn intended.

I cannot tell if you read economics 101, nor seem to be feel the pain the rest of the nation is feeling.? If not.....Bully for you and those whom see you at eye level. You might actually benefit from the hunt for the Big Furry guy also. I bet you could talk that moron in the oval office into funding the hunt for you. All you have to do is tell him you saw some crude on the backside of the last one you voted for. (Come on take a joke, I can).

But how silly we are.  It's a funny thing, there are people who care enough to offer even the slightest input towards perhaps making one of our most serious decisions in eighty years, a little more of a deliberate act rather than taking the Stepford path to vote the 4th.  I found the "Wizard" some time ago, LOL.... he hides behind the blind suport of an ever shrinking minority called suedo conservatives; who long ago lost the identity of true conservativism once Ford left office and passed it to Carter. He hides behind ideologs and neo-conservatives, who really do not want change. They think the consumer is the real reason we are falling apart at the seems. The wizard sir, is your and my president, he is your and my candidate, he is pounding the podiums accross America hoping you, me, all of us fall asleep at the wheel to let him take over for you. Look.... I don't know if Obama is the right guy or if McCain is the right guy. But for heavens sake, can't we just see the forest instead of the trees for once? Who ever said you and I would fix this mess didn't really read or is a liar and foolish. I get that, and I'm sure you do to.  All I seem to be able to read in much of these texts is silly banter that only insults each other, offering little to nothing in ideas and hope. Just simple banter that makes those otherwise intelligent voters sound just "Simple."

I don't know you, the other guy or gal that agrees or disagrees with you or me or them,...... or each other. There are folks who somehow make you want to know them and others who don't . We all tend to express what we think, like to be heard? get a chuckle when we belittle another or trip an unwary dolt, but we actaully do that best with our vote. While spending the next few years trodding that same beaten path day after day 24/7-365, never really living the much extolled American dream, we tend to build pressure and KAPLOOY,  we vent and although I must say you are a funny guy, (and I was kidding with the psyclogical assessment), you do seem to enjoy insulting people. Some reflection, some history, some insight, and perhaps a few things even those smarter folksy types like you might get if we only listen. That is what I take from decent folks writing among these pages. If that seems too much for some then perhaps they should stop reading and or replying?

God Bless

Zowie.....they must be paying you by the word.  Is your Masters better than my Masters?

Good impressions,

But I cannot pull the plug just yet. I do so wish we had more than three weeks to sort all the allegations out. Palin isn't right for the whitehouse? Obama isn't, Biden isn't, McCain isn't and Pelosi isn't nor the plethora left waiting in the wings.  But if most of us have not already been wallering in cold sweat since 2000 we should have been. It's just so pathetic. How in God's name did we end up this way? so many ask. Fear, hatred, subjugation, avarice, apathy, who knows how many elements are involved, but there sure are many. But to his credit, Obama has been much clearer with what he thinks will turn this nasty tide we are surfing. McCain has a plan also but didn't really identify it point to point. Palin or Biden? Palin is folksy, seems to understand what we all feel, and to her credit, sure does want the job, but might fall apart should she need to move up. Biden is tried and tested and as well as McCain could likely hold us together should he need to advance. What a tough decision we Americans have it seems. So I guess if it's too obvious, leave that line blank on the ballet. Or as one cool dude put it this evening, how about the "Wizard Of Oz"?

God Bless
