I have read several Articles in the opinion page of the Journal from the Union with at least one in the last week.

I have been past the plant many times and I have never seen over one truck at the gate at any given time. I can remember when they were lined up on Oregon street waiting to get in. This tells me production is way down from what it was. Also a lot of those little trucking companies are non Union and I am not sure about the railroad but my guess would be the same way.

The Indiana plant has never been a success as told to me by a general supervisor that retired rather than transfer over there, so this would make me think people that were transferred to Indiana would jump at the chance to come back especially those that did not have a choice.

My Dad worked on the RR in Illinois and was proudly a union member. There were lots of different "branches" for different types of workers, but to my knowledge they were all union. I don't think we have any small RR campanies, like trucking companies, but it would certainly be interesting to find out if they are, indeed, crossing picket lines as union members.
