I can't prove any of this, it is just conjecture on my part.  Please know I am a self professed moron.  But I think the gas will get lower up to the election.  The Republicans seem to be in bed with the oil companies and I think the republicans are asking the oil companies to keep prices low till the election to make the Republicans look good. "The enonomy isn't so bad we've managed to keep the gas prices low.  Vote for 4 more years of us."  I think it is just political manipulation, but then again I think whoever we vote in we're... well let's just say we should get dinner and a condom before we vote.

gas prices are down because oil is down to below $90/barrel...everything is down - the stock market, commodities, and the economy in general - can you say recession? (hopefully not a depression and the end of the world)...it is not good for the republican presidential party in power - an obama landslide is now the wave...and as you suggest, i think it is wise to eat out often and keep that condom handy - before, after, and even when not voting.
