The Republicans are saying the bill didn't pass because Nancy Pelosi ticked them off by something she said in her speach. Does that mean that since they got their feelings hurt they decided to take it out on the rest of us? That's real American isn't it? What happened to "Country First?"
Member of the House were DELUGED with calls from taxpayers who opposed a "bailout" - that is why 227 members of the House of Representatives voted against that bill. It IS a novel approach - listen to the voters who are paying your salary!
If, indeed, feelings were hurt as Barney Fife - er Frank stated - why were the feelings of 95 Damocrats hurt that voted NO including 13 of his very own committee. And pray tell why was Ms Pelosi going around telling Damocrats to vote No?
So let's hear your ideas about that. You love to say that everything is the fault of the Conservatives - but they sure can't shoulder the blame in this.
PLEASE remember - in 2005 the Conservatives introduces a bill to avoid this very fiasco and the Damocrats blocked it!
