Great heads-up on the Sanctuary....I plan to check it out the next time I'm in Iowa City. Fullers London Pride sounds like a sure bet to try. Not crazy about most beers with a "fruity" element, so will probably pass on the Millstream summer brew.
Yes, Cubans are still no legal in the U.S., but can be found here and there. Most Cuban cigars are not for the beginner smoker....they tend to be more full-bodied. Best for most folks to start for awhile with milder smokes. There are two very good sources on the internet...JRcigars.com, and famoussmokes.com. Both sell cigars by the box, in auctions, and in nice 5 pack samplers. Prices are much better than walking into any store and buying a single.
If you'd like a nice cigar as a rookie smoker, try the CAO Gold. Excellent.
