Summer Beer

Posted in: Muscatine

I've been drinking Boulevard Zon lately. It's a Belgian style white beer similar to Blue Moon but not quite as fruity. Like Hipster, I think all of the Boulevard brews are really good and I would recommend any of them. The Pale Ale is probably my favorite. I like Fat Tire too, but some people find it a little chocolatey. One of my friends says it's like drinking M&Ms. To each their own, I guess.

If all else fails, I always fall back to Newcastle Brown Ale. Mmmmmmm... Newcastle...

Excellent reviews, gentlemen.  Thanks.

Perhaps there are a few out there who also enjoy a fine cigar on occasion.  While my humidor currently  has a nice assortment, I'd say my favorite right now is the Romeo y Julieta Vintage.....a nice Lonsdale size mild-medium smoke.  Sounds like I need to find myself some of that Boulevard Beer and give it a test run on the deck with a fine puro.

Highly recommended!

OK so I just returned from HyVee with the Millstream summer brew - Hefe Weissen. Not bad, definitely a wheat with a little fruityness. Goes down good!

Ever hear of the Sanctuary Pub in Ia. city? Great beer selection. They have Fullers London Pride on tap, which might be the best English Ale on the planet!

Check 'em out - http://www.sanctuarypub.com/

As for the stogeys, not too into them. I did try my first Cuban (cigar) a couple months ago at a friends home. Are they still illegal?
