C'mon, moberman...democrats have been in charge for over the last year and a half of the six years you cite, and have done nothing to improve what you say needs done. Congress is who makes changes...where you been?

Democrats in Congress are discovering what it's like to live in the worst of all possible worlds. They are condemned for selling out to President Bush and condemned for failing to make compromises aimed at getting things done. Democrats complain that this is unfair, and, in some sense, it is. But who said that politics was fair? Congress is not getting its work done," Bush said, flanked by members of the Republican House leadership. "The House of Representatives has wasted valuable time on a constant stream of investigations, and the Senate has wasted valuable time on an endless series of failed votes to pull our troops out of Iraq." The criticized Congress has not being able to send "a single appropriations bill" to the white house. "They haven't seen a bill they could not solve without shoving a tax hike into it," he said. Democrats quickly fired back. Jim Manley, senior aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, said, "Taking advice from President Bush about fiscal responsibility and getting things done for the American people is like taking hunting lessons from Dick Cheney. Neither is a very good idea." I do believe your rebate check was approved through congress.................... http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/10/30/bush.dems/ http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/12/AR2007111201418.html

And, yes I am a Republican...but I don't always agree with everything....
I don't think Obama's lack of experience matters if Republicans are the example of what experience gets us. McCain is his own man. Very different then Bush. I'd like to think he's a lot smarter. What makes you think I a Democrat? Independant...........
Yes, McCain would be improvement. Still, there are problems with his Iraq position. |
