Muscatine

My husband set out two nice bikes by our alley with a free sign hoping somebody that really wanted a bike would like to have them since we haven't had a use for them lately. Well from now on we will take them to Goodwill because we had a couple in a van pick them up tonight and they decided to leave us a tire in exchange!!! And they took the sign that said "Free" and threw it in our neighbors yard!! How rude.!!I wish I wouldve gotten their license plate number or seen them roll the tire into our yard, now we are left with the disposal of it. Thats what you get for being nice these days, and its not going to happen with us anymore.

No good deed goes unpunished.

I learned that the hard way.....several times. But like many people have told me, don't let that hinder you from helping other people. It's hard to be giving and nice in this world nowdays.

 

But really, what LOW LIFES  for throwing a tire in your yard. I am so pi$$ed after reading your post.

I hope that other people post some of the same situations that they have encountered.

I was listening to an a.m. station on the radio the other day and at about 11:00 a.m, they have listeners call in and vent about everyday things that pi$$ them off.

I.E.: People who talk in theaters, waitresses with bad manners,  etc......

I think it was on 760 am.......I will correct if I am wrong, but it is halarious to listen to. Wow some of those people are really pi$$ed! But you can also relate.

While we're in the process of venting.....

 ......If the city of Muscatine spends any money on anything except street repairs for the next, someone needs to get slapped upside the head.  Forget the riverfront....try driving from West middle school down Fulliam, down Leroy and out Clay toward the mall.  Try it in a truck.  Absolutely terrible.

 .....Cell phones while driving.    I fear that if I see one more woman chatting behind the wheel and screeching to a halt inches from my rear fender, I may go over the edge.

 ....The weather.  Geez, enough winter already.  Ned.....I expect no more of your musings on the glorious wonder of snow. 

 ......This new format.  Just don't like it.  Don't know if it's just my computer, but it's incredibly slow. 

 High point of the week....watching those two Democrats beat the tar out of each other.
