Nobody deserves to make that much money when we have people in this country working 12 hour shifts, going to school, and still unable to afford medical care for their family. It's outrageous, because some of those people WORK FOR HNI. Seriously, why would anyone need that much money, unless they were dying and needed lots of medical care. But this guy can pay for health insurance for me and 10 of my closest friends until we die... and then do it another round. You sound like one of those 'redistribute the wealth' types. Think that idea out. It suks. |

In my opinion there are two ways of handling this with one being, pay the employees a livable wage so they can pay for their health care. The other option is just keep going down the same road and they will all be on Medicaid with everyone that makes a livable wage paying the bill. I have been paying on my medical insurance for almost 50 years and I never collected on it for the first 40 years. I did not hear them complain when it was going in their pocket, only now when they have to pay they want to cut the coverage. I call that T.S. I paid, now it is your turn. About a week ago Case I.H. found out in court that they had made a Commitment and were ordered to honor it by paying up to $ 9700.00 back they had charged each of the employees for their insurance. |

The "livable wage" is an interesting subject. What is "livabel." Does it include cable tv, net access, suv's, a night on the town on sat, $100.00 tennis shoes for the kids, cell phones, the latest video game, burgers at mc d's for lunch, the latest style of jeans and all the other THINGS we have come to call "living"? I realize no one should be expected to sacrifice to the point of all but the bare minimum of existance---bread and water--but how many folks have come to expecet--demand--those THINGS that are not really the stuff we NEED to get by in life?e Our expectations need re-examining. I fear the time of reckoning about our largess is coming regardless of what party is in power.
