Crk,

Understand, nobody is perfect! But try to do a cops job once. Try getting called every name in the book, just for saving peoples lives. Try getting spit on for pulling over a drunk driver. Getting yelled at for stopping someone for speeding, because they could be out stopping murderers and rapists instead. Try going up to a car you just stopped for speeding that has windows tinted so dark, you can't see inside, and don't know if the person inside is pulling a gun or just getting their wallet out. Try going to a domestic where the victim jumps you because your putting their honey in cuffs. Even though they were just getting the snot knocked out of them. That thin blue line is the only thing between you and anarchy.

Now if your speeding, and you generally know if you are, don't get upset when you get a ticket. Or do you think your above the law?  Cool

orville....It's the cops that are above the law around here....I'm sure you and many others that post here have seen a cop take a turn without signaling, or cruise parkavenue at twice the speed others are going, when the people that are below me try to rule over me, there's a problem. Wouldn't that upset you? Or are you one of them?

I have been driving down Fulliam many times and had an officer behind me. I mean right behind me following to close for my comfort.  I wonder every time if they are trying to get me to go over the speed limit, so they could pull me over or just don't realize what they are doing(maybe getting a call on their radio?).  I have had a few bad attitudes when they are checking out who is in the bars, standing in front of the dart board with arms crossed looking around and knew we were playing darts. There were other places to stand.

I have friends who work for the city and the sheriff's department, so I know not all are as you are saying.  They do have a tough job..... and it isn't fair to say they all think they are above the law.  Seems the younger they are the more attitude they have, maybe they are just not mature enough to have so much authority.

cops attitudes...I agree with you sincerely, the problem is they have the misconception that their role is an authoritative one...it isn't at all!! They are merely there to uphold the law, not use it like playdoh to mold as they wish, that's the biggest problem with them. And if you have a cop that constantly tailgates you, use the cat crossed the street tactic and apply your brakes suddenly, it will be his fault.
