For anyone, smokers and non-smokers alike...I just spent hours reading a site that was very interesting!  www.davehitt.com   talk about a whole lot of facts!!  I would love to see some true facts that second hand smoke causes cancer....  I know people who have died of lung cancer and never been around smokers  and  I know many who have been around smokers their whole life and do not have lung cancer.  I am not saying people are not effected by it, but I think they are effected because they don't like the smell.  There are tons of other factors that can cause cancer, maybe we should shut down the factories clogging up the air, outlaw busses and trains, etc etc.

If you choose to check out this site, go to ban links and in the middle of the page, click on Ban Loss...very interesting.  Actually, the whole site is worth looking at. Happy reading! I printed everything out, there is so much info.

As I have said before, we all have a choice. If a business wants to be non-smoking, it should be the owners choice!

Yes, we are all adults, and are capable of making decisions such as whether or not to smoke, or where and what to eat or drink.  In Muscatine, we have several non-smoking eating and drinking establishments to choose from.  No one is forced to expose themselves to tobacco smoke and that includes the people who choose to work in the hospitality industry.  It's a very dangerouse thing when govt. can dictate policies to private business owners.  What's next?  There is currently talk in Des Moines of making it illegal to have a fire in your wood burning fireplace!  That's right folks, next time you want to snuggle with your sweetie in front of a crackling fire on one of these cold winter nights, you could be breaking the law, if the libs have their way.  Good 'ole Gov. Culver, aka. "Chester the Molester" of personal freedoms!

It looks like it's up to the Gov. now.  The bill passed both House and Senate.
