I presume that you have heard of O.S.H.A. and that law has been around a long time.
I do not agree with many choices the elected state officials have made from both sides of the fence. I pick each person I vote for and the party's can kiss my bu--. Yes I am an independent and plan on staying that way because I have choices that one lever pullers do not have.
Colorado has had a law simular to what you are talking about for many years.
