man for standing up to a bunch of thugs, you need to be very careful of intervening these days. I would suggest that a call to 911 before intervening might be a good idea. Young punks these days are not known for restraint and having them escelate from club to gun is not unheard of. Thanks for looking out for others DF.

when it comes to the use of deadly force you better make darn sure what one is getting into!! For me it would depend on the gravity of the situation and who is involved (immediate family, member law enforcement officer, etc.). I want the bad guys/girls to account for themselves and not for me to be accountable for anything. Good enough?

I would say it would be a judgemnt call. By that I think the first thing I would do is write down the plate number. Then call 911 while you were going out there if you were inclined to go out.
As Herman says some of those dudes will shoot you and if that happened the police have something to go on.

Judgement call and the heat of the moment would be difficult to seperate. Let's hope we never have to get into that situation. I,as well, would prefer to call the cops first. Tasers are more ''humane'' than lead to the chest.
