I agree
to disagree. If Israel in it's former state prior to 1948 was considered Palestinian territory under control of the British government; how then can you justify it as always belonging to the Jewish people?
Are you insinuating the Israelis packed up and left one day leaving Palestine to the Palestinians? Or did all this trouble begin to brew when Jewish holocaust refugees were looking for a ''new homeland''? If as you say, ''Israel always has and always will belong to the Jewish people'' why do the Zionists always refer to it historically as a ''new homeland''? And why is it, the British government who controlled Palestine as a soveriegn Arab nation, did everything they possible could to keep the Jews from disembarking onto Palestianian soil? I think you know the answer. It makes the news everyday.
I have to disagree with your statement about the reasoning of why Israel should be allowed to have nukes while the Arab nations are denied the same right. Are the Arab nations not entitled to protect themselves as well? There have been many times where the U.S. Government had to step in to quell a situation where it was feared the Israelis would launch a nuclear first strike.
You have no way of predicting what Iran may or would have done if they had a nuke. While I won't disagree that you are entitled to your opinion, your opinion in this point is based solely on speculation.
Good exchange Hecta, I enjoy debating with you.
