Matters of National Importance

Posted in: Muscatine
1. When is the current administration going to catch Osama Bin Laden? We've been waiting, what, 7 years to get this guy? Even with a $2,500,000.00 bounty on his head it appears that Osama is nothing more than a cleverly created, falsely reported, Muslim boogeyman.

2. Why was the CIA initially turned down for more U.S. troops in Afghanistan when intelligence reports were substantiated that Osama was holed up in Tora Bora? Why did the current administration reject the CIA's request for more boots on the ground to cut off all access routes into Pakistan and instead were told to utilize and rely upon Eastern Alliance warlords who were known to play both sides against the middle?

3. Why is Norman Podhoretz, an avowed neo-con and zionist extremist, also author of the book ''My Negro Problem-and Ours'', allowed such close proximity to this administration in an effort to push our Nation into war with Iran? Where does this Zionist come off in making the statement ''that the retreat from Iraq should not be similar to the retreat from Vietnam. Arguing that when the US withdrew from Vietnam, it sacrificed its national honor by a disgraceful show of weakness and cowardice.'' Why is this Zionist allowed to even set foot inside the People's House after making a statement that not only denigrates our Nation but slaps the face of every Vietnam veteran who served in that conflict?

4. Finally, why is it that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly are allowed to cry foul when they are personally attacked in the media? These men make their living attacking those of the opposite political party. These, ahem, gentlemen are not above slinging their own mud and arrows and yet, all we hear from them of late is how they are being slandered and attacked in the media.

I'd like to remind everyone that Mr. O'Reilly, who publicly accused the kidnapped minor child from Missouri last year of more or less enjoying his captivity when found in the custody of his kidnapper, that the young man testified this week that he was able to talk his kidnapper into not killing him as the man had his hands around the boys throat preparing to squeeze the life from him!!

So, in an effort of taking a page from Mr. O'Reilly's own discourse when may we, the general public, expect an apology from Mr. O'Reilly to this young man and his family for his callous and careless comment? How about NEVER?

Enjoy your final days in the sun my conservative friends. There are so many leaks in your dike you've ran out of fingers to plug them all.

Conservative?

Not sure I would label myself as either since I find both parties to be vulgar liars who care nothing actually about we peons they supposedly are there to represent. They can't pass legislation pertinent to an issue at hand. They all have to attach their special interest provisions. It's a complete mockery of how the system was supposed to work. However my views would definitely lean way further toward conservative as opposed to liberal. So hey why not bite on what you have thrown out.

#1 - Had Clinton took him out when he had the chance none of this pertaining to Bin laden would be in question, and Clinton would not have had to lose his cool when asked about it in an interview.

#2 - See #1

#3 ?– First what is wrong with Zionism? 2nd have you ever read the book you refer to? Based on your post I looked it up and found it on line. Does not take too long as it is very short (9 pages pdf format) and talks about his experiences as a child growing up Jewish among blacks and Italians and the typical stereotypes. Title may sound worse than it is but considering it was written in 1963 you have to take the times into account. I thought the ending of it was very interesting to the question of how would he feel if his daughter was about to marry a black. I did not grow up under the same set of circumstances as he described and I'm not quite sure that if I had I could be as considerate towards the issue as he seems.

#4 - I'm shocked that you would watch or listen to those 3 shows. If you don't then you are accepting 2nd hand information to come to your conclusions of what was said and how it was said. Example: This latest hub bub with Rush and his slandering military. I read or heard parts of both sides of the story. I don't listen to Rush so I did not hear the discussion so I have no idea of the context of it and will not base my opinion on what others tell me. In short I don?’t have an opinion on it or him. I know the respect and gratitude that I have for our military men and women and I am content with that. If Rush or O?’Reilly truly made the comments in the context of what some say then shame on them. I also agree with you on the matter of them not being immune to criticism as it sort of comes with the territory in my opinion, just as it does with many liberal talk hosts. If one can dish it out they should be able to take it in return. Not only should they be able to but one would think they should expect it in return for some of things I have heard said. Personally in today?’s politically correct world, (politically correct being nothing but a form of censorship to quiet those who disagree with you) pretty much nothing can be said that does not hurt somebody?’s little feelings. To any one that can be that decimated by something someone says ?…boo who!

As for the days of the conservatives coming to an end, that would appear to be very possible if the polls are to believed, and so what if it has? It will be the same crap just different players with nothing but special interests that benefit them and not us. Main difference is we will all have less money as we will all be paying a lot more in taxes.

In the end if things work out as you hope and it grants you great pleasure or some feeling of superiority over others/me that you were right then more power to you. I?’m happy for you! It has no effect on me, I?’ll continue to hold to my faith, opinions and beliefs. Life goes on and time will only tell. Tic?…tic..tic
Demonstrate

Stenchmeister's post clearly demonstrates how far gone he is!

Anyone that places the subject of entertainers/talk-show hosts getting insulted under his title of ''Matters of National Importance'' truly cannot be grounded.

All sense of reality and priority is demonstrated as warped, by just that fact.
The mighty Weeman

checks in once more and sticks his foot where his mouth should be.

I guess it's alright for you to plagerize and belch the same platitudes from these right wing idiots but god forbid I decide to call them out and you attack me for being what was it you said, ungrounded?

Crawl back under your bridge troll. When we need a fool's opinion we'll ask W to enter the room.
