while you may never find booze on the list of medical studies, you will find alcohol. As for cocane, it has been and I believe it still is a big part of medical drugs. Meth is many bad things melted into one really bad drug.
If you ask the meth cases of today what lead them to meth, most say they started with pot. This is why pot is a gateway drug. Then we can talk about the simple fact that a very large % of pot on the street is laced with other things to increase the high and the addiction. So unless you are growing your own your left to the morals of your local dealers. Not a place I'd choose to learn morals from or seek a honest deal.

Where do you get your facts. There is NO WAY IN HELL that a LARGE % of pot is laced. Just not true. And the alcohol that you refer to in medical use won't get you drunk if you drink it, it will kill you. As in rubbing alcohol. come on, man. You can do better than that.
