About our association

Our Mission:

The Montrose Drive Neighborhood Watch Group is dedicated to keeping our neighborhood a safe place to live by increasing the public awareness of crime prevention, creating a neighborhood network of “Crime Watchers”, and decreasing the "my neighbor is a stranger" factor that contributes to indifference about the neighborhood and its neighbors.

Our mission is the education of the community and public about crime prevention, safety and law enforcement resources. The goals are:
• Create a network of concerned citizens;
• Provide activities for children and adults
• Promote interaction and communication among members of the community
• Create a liaison with local law enforcement and pubic officials which facilitates rapid response to our concerns
• Develop educational programs which increase awareness of crime prevention.

Our Purpose:

Our local neighborhood watch program was established in order to improve communication between the citizens of the city and the city administration. Our group serves as a vital tool in keeping city officials informed of the concerns of the neighborhood and distributing important city information throughout the neighborhood. By utilizing our input, the City of Folsom and our concerned neighbors can improve the quality of life for our citizens. Residents are encouraged to contact our group members regarding ANY issues such as but not limited to: beautification projects, property and building code violations, traffic issues, parking violations, vehicle abandonment, noise infractions, etc. In conjunction with our group, the National Crime Prevention Council, our local City Councilman, and our local Police Department, our group has been assigned specific area law enforcement officers to work with our community. The main purpose of the network of neighbors is to identify concerns and implement solutions utilizing the resources and support of our group, as well as city and community resources.
