I'd be interested in learning what others think about the Viacom (CBS Outdoor) billboard advertising Hale Bopp on San Vicente and La Cienega. It looks like soft core porn to me.
I understand that ''edgy'' advertising has an advantage in catching the eye of the audience. But aren't there limits? When it comes to television or print media, my belief has always been that if you don't like the message, avoid the medium. But how does one avoid a billboard?
I've e-mailed CBS Outdoor (e-mail addresses of corporate heads are available on their website.) If others find this billboard obnoxious, perhaps the Community Council can do something more formal.
