WELCOME! For a start, the Mayors Annual Bikeride for Trails is Sat. April 21, 2001. It will go along the Inter-Urban Trail past Riley Park. I think it would be good for us to have a water table there. It could be in conjunction with a clean-up or planting at the park. Any comments?

Mayors Bike Ride & thanks Lela!
Art Behn, Pres., is out-of-town, but he supports us having a ''water table'' in the Mayors Bike Ride.
Also, in the new newsletter Lela Behn says in an article she responded to a friend that she had been doing ''nothing really'' when asked what she had been doing lately. I disagree heartedly. She has spent a lot of time and effort working on getting new members for and preparing the newsletter for the MHNA and we appreciate her work! Thanks Lela!

Speed display on 50th St.
Today, Mon. 3/26/01 it was good to see a ''speedcheck'' setup on 50th between Douglas & Urbandale. This device is put on the parking side of the street and displays to drivers how fast they are driving. It is a way to try to reduce speeding through neighborhoods. If your street has speeding problems call Steve Silver at 271-4652.

Bike Ride changes
Unfortunately the route of the Mayors' Bike Ride was changed this year. The farthest west it will go is 34th & Urbandale so it will NOT go past Riley Park.
